Custom Photo Magnets
How They Work.
A custom photo magnet is your picture printed as a small magnetic keepsake for the fridge, locker, filing cabinet, classroom board, or office whiteboard. It is more useful than a loose print because it has a place to live.

30-mil magnetic substrate
The base of every magnet is a 30-mil (0.030 inch) thick flexible magnetic sheet. This is roughly three times thicker than the paper-thin promotional magnets you see on pizza boxes. It holds its shape, lies flat, and grips firmly to any magnetic surface without peeling at the corners.
Dye-sublimation inks
We use archival-grade dye-sublimation printing rather than inkjet. In dye-sublimation, the ink is heated until it vaporizes and bonds directly into the surface of the material at the molecular level. The result is a photo with continuous-tone color gradients, sharp detail, and no visible dot pattern.
Soft-touch laminate finish
After printing, each magnet is laminated with a soft-touch matte coating. This protects the image from fingerprints, light scratching, and moisture. The matte surface also reduces glare, so photos look their best under typical kitchen or office lighting.
How photo magnets compare to regular photo prints
A photo print often goes into a drawer. A photo magnet is made for the fridge and other magnetic surfaces. That's the practical difference. Our custom fridge magnets and personalized refrigerator magnets are built around that everyday display spot. Beyond visibility, magnets are easy to move, gift, and group into a growing family or event display.
For everyday keepsakes, birthday gifts, graduation gifts, event favors, school memories, and anything you want to stay visible in someone's home or office, a magnet is simply more useful than a print that gets filed away.
Pick the size,
then the pack.
The product page shows which sizes are currently available. Start with the available 2x2 size for small gifts, favors, and larger batches. Choose a larger available size when the photo has multiple faces, small text, or artwork that needs breathing room.
Pack count is about audience. A small pack works for one gift recipient. Larger packs make sense for grandparents, classrooms, wedding tables, teams, client gifts, and event handouts. Remiee does not currently list an 8x10 photo magnet.
Upload, crop,
review before checkout.
You don't need design software or a special file format. A clear photo from your phone is enough, and the preview helps you check the crop before you place the order.
Upload your photo
Any JPEG or PNG works. Smartphone photos, camera shots, even screen captures of old photos are fine as long as the image is clear.

More useful than a print,
more personal than a poster.
Fridge displays
The most common spot. A photo magnet on the refrigerator stays visible every single day, unlike photos in albums or frames tucked into corners.
Gift keepsakes
A magnet with a meaningful photo makes a practical gift. Recipients actually use it rather than setting it on a shelf.
Event favors
Photo magnets are among the most kept event favors. Guests take them home and put them up, giving your event a lasting presence.
Office and locker use
Filing cabinets, metal lockers, and magnetic whiteboards at the office are common spots, especially for team or pet photos.
Home decor
A collection of magnets on a large magnetic surface or fridge door becomes informal wall art that changes as new photos are added.
Announcements
Save-the-dates, birth announcements, and graduation notices all work well as magnets because they stay on the fridge instead of getting recycled with the mail.

Common questions
answered directly.
What materials are used in custom photo magnets?
Each magnet uses archival-grade dye-sublimation inks printed onto a 30-mil thick magnetic substrate. A soft-touch laminate coating is applied on top, which protects the surface from scratching and gives the magnet a smooth matte feel.
How long will a photo magnet last before the image fades?
Photo magnets are intended for indoor display on refrigerators, lockers, whiteboards, filing cabinets, and other magnetic surfaces. The printed surface and laminate are designed for everyday handling, but avoid outdoor exposure, soaking, or abrasive cleaning.
What photo quality do I need to get a good-looking magnet?
For a 2x2 or 2.5x2.5 inch magnet, any photo taken on a modern smartphone will work. We recommend the image be at least 800x800 pixels. Our online tool will flag if your photo resolution is too low for the size you've chosen.
What sizes are available?
Available sizes are shown on the product page before you order. Start with 2x2 for favors, small gifts, and larger batches. Larger available sizes give faces, artwork, or text more room when they are in stock. Remiee does not currently list an 8x10 photo magnet.
How does the ordering process work?
Upload your photo on our customize page, crop it to fit the square format, pick your size and pack quantity, then check out. We prepare your order for shipment from our Florida studio.
Do photo magnets stick to all surfaces?
They stick to any ferromagnetic surface: refrigerators, filing cabinets, metal lockers, whiteboards with metal backs, and most dishwashers. They will not stick to aluminum, stainless steel appliances, or any non-magnetic surface.
